Embrace Your Darkness!
In today's society, I believe the pressure to suppress negative feelings is alive and well.
Learning to connect to your "dark side" is equally essential for a fuller life experience. There are "Closets" in our lives which encompass buried feelings during our journey that we don't want to see: perhaps painful memories, past shame, disowned pieces such as anger and resentment and even the wounds of life. We pretend a lot not to notice or we hide our true feelings in order to avoid these aspects of ourselves. The "Power of Positivity" has a place in our day, but negative emotions must be addressed in order to find happiness..
In life there's no instruction manual providing details on how to deal with our feelings,
"Acceptance is the first step in dealing with "Darkness" ,
It does not involve trying to change the circumstances or how we feel, but taking them as they are which lead to:
*emotional resilience and fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety.
*positive mental health and higher levels of satisfaction in life making you happier
It is natural to feel bad sometimes as we fight with ourselves when feeling such as frustration anger or resentment appear. Accept these feelings knowing they are only temporary and you are in control through choice.
