You have heard of this idea before right?
If you pass out, you won’t be any help to that person next to you on the plane—those of us who tend to do the opposite of this in life have often heard this advice over and over. This is an important metaphor for those of you who run around taking care of everything and everyone else except yourself. Self-Care starts involves sufficient exercise, proper sleep and nutritious food which provides optimum fuel for our body. When we practice self-care: Self-care is never a selfish act—it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer to others.
