#SpiritualSunday #UnlockYourGreatness "Guarding your heart without shutting it down"
I have found that our heart is under constant attack, especially in the environment that we live today. We have an enemy who is bent on our destruction. ,That is the reason Solomon says, “Above all else.” not when you get around to it "No", he says, make it your top priority. Your heart is extremely valuable, Guarding your heart has nothing to do with building a wall so that nothing can come in or out, it is more about being cautious; filtering out those things that are destructive while remaining open so that we don't miss out on opportunities Your heart is the source of everything you do in your life ~ “wellspring of life.” Your heart overflows into thoughts, words, and actions; likened to thousands of natural springs of water flowing to the surface of the earth accumulating in pools or runs off into creeks / streams. If you plug up the spring you stop the flow of water which may poison the water, the flow becomes toxic. In either situation, you threaten life downstream. Likewise, if your heart is unhealthy, it has an impact on or threatens your family, friends, career, and, legacy. Imaging Your Heart as a Castle. When something approaches, let it in just as a castle’s drawbridge lets in its guests. Allow your loving heart’s strength protect you from emotional attacks, letdowns, and poisonous relationships, like the stone walls of those castles. Let the walls of your castle built stone by stone "be loving acts both given and received, not defense mechanisms. Our heart is the core of who you are ~ your authentic self. Basically your heart is where your dreams, desires, passions live which is that part of you that connects with God as well as other people.
