Psalm 149 "Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song. Let them praise His name in the dance"
Life is a dance!
Sometimes we know the steps and sometimes we make them up. Sometimes we follow the music and sometimes we make up our own tune. Sometimes we get our toes stepped on and sometimes we step on others toes. Sometimes we slow dance and sometimes we fast dance. There are even times when we sit out for a dance or two. The good thing about life, and dancing, is we can always step back in when we are ready, we can dance any dance we choose and it doesn’t matter if we know the steps or not, we can make them up as we go.
It does not matter if your lead or follow and don't worry that you don't know, you learn as you go.
How would you describe your life dance? Remember if you are not doing the dance you want to, you can change it. Perhaps it is time to try a few new steps.
Sometimes you dance with a partner, and sometimes you dance alone.
Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving, the most beautiful of the arts, because it is no mere translation or abstraction from life; it is life itself. Havelock Ellis
We look at the dance to impart the sensation of living in an affirmation of life, to energize the spectator into keener awareness of the vigor, the mystery, the humor, the variety, and the wonder of life. Martha Graham
As we adjust our clocks forward in preparation for daylight savings time, we may want to quietly take inventory of our daily thoughts and adjust them.
A good mental attitude is powerful. Your attitude tells the world what you expect from life and you will receive exactly that.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.
What you think, you will become. If you are unhappy, depressed, joyous or understanding from within then these emotions will be radiated from your life. We may wonder why some have better positions or are more successful. It was not as a result of luck but, success came to them as a result of their attitudes Each of us attracts the kind of life that we as individuals represent. Before a person can achieve something, he must become the kind of person that he would like to be before the things that person would have can come to them.
The attitude with which we approach life is a choice every day. We have the power to choose the position or perspective we will assume toward specific events and people in our lives. This orientation influences our actions and responses to the challenges we encounter each day.
Choosing our attitude is one area where we can enjoy real personal power. Amazingly, grumbling can turn into gratitude, arrows into gifts and mistakes into learning when we adjust our attitude to positive instead of negative.
